Radhakrishnan Award given to 155 teachers

As many as 155 teachers and professors of Delhi schools and colleges honoured with Dr Radhakrishnan Award.

As many as 155 teachers and professors of Delhi schools and colleges were honoured with the Dr S Radhakrishnan Memorial National Teachers Award - 2006 for their contribution to the field of education.

Among those who received the awards were MI Hussain, Principal of the Delhi Public School, Mathura Road; Jyoti Anand, Lecturer Gargi College; Prof Brahma Prakash of NCERT and Seema Gupta, a Teacher at the RKSS School, West Patel Nagar.

The awards were given away by Union Minister of State for Urban Development Ajay Maken at a function organised to mark the 119th birth anniversary of late President S Radhakrishnan in New Delhi on Monday evening.

The awards given away every year by the All India Freelance Journalist & Writer's Association and National Child & Women Development Charitable Trust to educationists for their services in the field of education, art & culture, conservation of environment and creating health awareness.
