The continuous rainfall in the district since last few days has, hit the normal life here. The people residing in upper reaches of the area are facing hardships due to non availability of food grains and other essential commodities.

The roads between the tehsil headquarter and the villages have been reported as damaged, due to landslides.

The authorities of the district administration in Kishtwar and Doda have announced closure of all educational institutions here for a couple of days.

Meanwhile, the district administration has been informed about the shortage of ration and other essential commodities, but to no avail.

However, the authorities of the CAPD said that due to damage of roads, the department has not been able to make the arrangements.
