The suburbs witnessed heavy rains recorded at 9.2 mm while the city recorded only 0.3 mm rains between 8.30 am and 11.30 am on Wednesday morning. In the last 24 hrs, the city has recorded 10 mm of rain and suburbs 33.9 mm, the Weather Buro said.

It has forecast more rain/thundershowers in some parts of the city and suburbs.

Mumbai city and suburbs witnessed heavy rains on Tuesday morning as well. Normal life during peak office hours was not affected on Wednesday on account of the state government holiday of Anant Chaturdashi, the immersion day of Lord Ganpati marking the end of the 11 day Ganpati festival.
