Rajasthan SOG arrests Bharatpur cleric

The Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) has arrested a cleric for allegedly possessing two passports bearing different names, police said.

The Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) has arrested a cleric for allegedly possessing two passports bearing different names, police said.

Cleric of Bharatpur Mohammed Illiyas was arrested yesterday for allegedly possessing two passports bearings different names, Additional Director General of Police AK Jain said.

Illiyas had got one passport from Chandigarh and other from Jaipur, Jain said, adding he managed to get both the passports by submitting false documents.

Islamuddin, one of his accomplice, was also detained by the Jammu and Kashmir police yesterday for illegal possession of AK 47 weapons, Jain said.

Illiyas was called for questioning by the SOG a week back in Bharatpur, Jain added.
