Ranbir encounter: Murder case against cops

A case of murder was registered on Monday against all the police officials involved in the alleged fake encounter of MBA graduate Ranbir Singh in Ladpur jungles of Uttarakhand on July 3. An FIR has also been resgistered against two DSPs Ajay Kumar and GC Tamta on the basis of a complaint of Ranbir's father Rabindra Pal Singh.

The FIR under section 302 of the IPC was registered against all the policemen involved in the encounter of the
Ghaziabad youth, SHO of Raipur police station where the case was lodged said.

An FIR has also been resgistered against two DSPs Ajay Kumar and GC Tamta on the basis of a complaint of Ranbir's
father Rabindra Pal Singh that they roughed up his family members outside the post-mortem house where the autopsy of the slain youth was being done.
