President of Shahrarabagh-Gosai Tola Vikas Samiti, Giridhar Gopal has written a letter to Divisional Commissioner Dr Lalit Mohan Verma demanding to halt the setting up of the service centre in the area. Even UP Minister of State, Virendra Singh Bundela, in a letter has asked the commissioner to take steps so that residents did not face the pollution problem.

Taking serious note of the complaint, Reoti Raman Singh, MP, too, asked the divisional commissioner on Sunday to ensure the service centre for motorcycle was not opened here. President of the society Giridhar Gopal told HT, on Monday, the service centre would cause massive noise and air pollution and the whole sewer system would be choked. When hundreds of motorcycles meant being sent here for servicing and parked in the narrow lane, it would create enormous traffic jams, he added.
