RIL Capital declares 32% dividend

Anil Ambani group company Reliance Capital Ltd has declared a dividend of Rs 3.20 per equity share of Rs 10 each, following its impressive performance during the financial year 2005-2006.
The dividend (32 per cent), which had earlier been approved by the Board of Directors, was given the nod by the shareholders at the AGM held on June 9, the private sector non-banking financial services company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The shareholders also approved the proposal to re-appoint Anil D Ambani as the Director of the Company, retiring by rotation.
For the year 2005-06, Reliance Capital had registered a net profit of Rs 538 crore, up 408 per cent from Rs 106 crore in 2004-05. The company had its total income for 2005-06 pegged at Rs 652 crore, up 121 per cent from Rs 295 crore a year ago.
A decision to appoint Udayan Bose and CP Jain as Directors of the company, liable to retire by rotation, was also approved at the recently held AGM.
