RPF team loot handicapped passengers

The Government Railway Police (GRP), has registered a case of loot against five cops of RPF including one named, Satya Prakash Pandey on the complaint of a victim, Kamlesh Yadav. The GRP is gearing up to nab the accused cops.
According to information, the train was on way to New Delhi from Patna, meanwhile, at Buxar station, a group of Five Escort cops of the CRPF entered the handicapped compartment of the train. They forcibly started realising Rs 200 to 400 from each handicapped passenger and their attendants. As the train reached the Mughal Sarai Junction in the night, the victims rushed to the GRP police station and lodged a complaint. Inspector GRP Laxmi Shanker Yadav said around Rs 10,000 were looted from the passengers by cops and they would be nabbed soon.
Criminal held
Sleuths of Special Operation Group (SOG) arrested two persons, including a hardcore criminal, from the Irrigation Colony under Sigra police station on Tuesday evening. Both had come here to mount pressure on engineers for getting a contract awarded as per their will.
Briefing mediapersons, SP LN Singh said that cops got a tip off about the arrival of some miscreants in the colony at around 4. 00 pm and rushed to the spot.
Cops spotted two suspicious persons there and nabbed them immediately for interrogation. During their search the police recovered a country made pistol from each of them. Soon, both identified as Pervez Khan, a resident of Adalhat area in Mirzapur and Anil Gupta, a resident of Varanasi were arrested.
Pervez was wanted in several cases of henious crime in Chandauli, Mirzapur and other sorrounding districts, while, Anil Gupta is a registered contractor and harasses other contractors with the help of criminals, the SP added.
Theft in temple
Unidentified miscreants stole some metalic worship meterials from a temple of Lord Shiva in Bhelupur area on Monday night. The matter came to light on Tuesday morning. Resementment brewed amongst the devotees following the theft. Police investigation is on.
