Salman Khan, the IFFI star

The actor will be performing at the opening ceremony of the festival, writes Udita Jhujhunwala.

Salman Khan is believed to be fully supporting the International Film Festival of India to be held in Goa later this month.

Not only is the actor promoting IFFI TV a channel on the Dish TV platform that will give 24x7 coverage of IFFI, but he is also performing at the opening ceremony on November 23.

This apart, he is one of the many celebrities who will feature in the IFFI theme song video. Composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with lyrics by Javed Akhtar, the song is called Bharat ke cinema ki jai jaikaar.

The other . Bollywood stars confirmed for the IFFI opening event are Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol, Soha Ali Khan and Malaika Arora Khan.

A performance by the Shaolin Monks will add some international flavour.
