Sania-Alicia in Istanbul doubles final

The Indo-Aussie pair scored a 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7/3) victory over Ukrain's Yuliana Fadek and Czech Eva Hardinova.

Sania Mirza and Alicia Molik of Australia sweated their way into the doubles final at the $200,000 WTA tour event at Istanbul in Turkey.

The Indo-Australian pair carved out a hard-fought 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7/3) victory against Yuliana Fadek of Ukrain and Eva Hardinova of Czech Republic, who had reached the semifinals after a walkover in the quarters, at the Tier III event on Friday.

In the summit clash, Sania and Alicia are pitted against a tough pair of Alona Bondarenko of Ukraine and Anastasiya Yakimova of Belaruss, who overcame the challenge of Janette Husarova of Slovakia and Shahar Peer 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7/2).
