SC issues notice to NBA, Centre for fund misuse

The notices were issued on a PIL filed by NCCL, which accused NBA of indulging in several illegal activities.

The Supreme Court on Friday issued notices to Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA), the Centre, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and one Rahul Banerjee on a PIL seeking a CBI probe into alleged bungling of foreign funds by the NBA.

The notices were issued by a Bench comprising Chief Justice YK Sabharwal and Justice CK Thakker on the PIL filed by National Council for Civil Liberties (NCCL), which accused NBA of indulging in several illegal activities.
