A seven-year-old boy was run over by a Skoda car during a wedding function at Kavi Nagar of Friday. The driver has been arrested.

The incident took place around 2.30am when the car, allegedly driven by the bride-groom’s relative Ram Kumar, ran over Sachin Kumar who was sleeping in the pandal erected for the wedding. “The boy’s head was crushed and he was declared brought dead at the hospital,” Kavi Nagar station officer Sudhir Tyagi said.

In another mishap, an AC technician died after an AC compressor burst. Three others were also injured. The technician had come to fill the AC’s compressor at a company guesthouse at Abhay Khand.

“Tabbu, the technician, died at a private hospital in Indirapuram,” Indirapuram station officer, GN Yadav said.
