Shivaratri celebrations at Guruvayoor Temple

MAHA SHIVARATRI celebrations will be held at Madhya Guruvayoorappan Temple here on February 16 from 5.30 am onwards. Various offerings will be conducted by the chief priest of the temple.

MAHA SHIVARATRI celebrations will be held at Madhya Guruvayoorappan Temple here on February 16 from 5.30 am onwards. Various offerings will be conducted by the chief priest of the temple.

According to Bhajan Committee convener V Raghavan, recital of Bhagavata Parayanam will be held from 7.30 am to 9 am. From 9 am to 10 am, Sivasahranamarchana will be held and recital of Bhagavata will continue thereafter.

In the evening, Deeparadhana will be held from 6.30 pm to 7 pm and thereafter Siva Puranam and Bhajan will continue till midnight.

A large number of devotees from entire Bhopal are expected to participate on this holy celebrations and the temple committee has made arrangements for a holy feast for the devotees.

From April 12th, a weeklong Bhagavata Saptaha Yajna will be held at the temple and world-famous Hindu scholar Yajya Acharya Mannady Hari and team will visit for the Yajna.

Temple committee president Dr S A Pillai and V Raghavan requested the devotees to attend Shivaratri celebrations on February 16 from 5.30 am onwards and make this event a grand success.
