Shivraj asks for action against latecomers

CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday inspected various sections of major departments of Mantralaya in the State Capital Wednesday morning and expressed his unhappiness over absence of some employees.

Chouhan directed General Administration Department Secretary D S Rai to take necessary action against latecomer employees.

He also asked officers accompanying him to note down the names of senior officers who were not in their offices after 10.45 am.

Some of the officers of Home, GAD, Jail and Publicity departments, were not present at the time of inspection.

After participating in a function organised to mark the death anniversary of Dr Ambedkar at the Board Office Square, the Chief Minister went straight to the fourth floor of the State Mantralaya at 10.45 a.m.

The Chief Minister talked to the officers and employees apprising himself of the activities and working of these sections.

He also directed the Secretary, GAD to initiate necessary action against the absentee officials. The Chief Minister was accompanied by his Secretaries Iqbal Singh Bains and DP Tiwari during the inspection. Principal Secretary, GAD, I.M. Chahal and other officers concerned were also present.

The Chief Minister Chouhan paid surprise visit to the Mantralaya on two occasions in the last few months.
