Seeking to steer clear of any controversy, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil on Saturday refused to answer questions on the 'office of profit' issue and government's reported plan to bring in an ordinance.

"I will not say anything on this ... Please ask the Parliamentary Affairs Minister (Priyaranjan Das Munshi)," he told reporters after flagging off an ITBP expedition to Mount Everest.

The Home Minister spoke to the waiting mediapersons at length about the expedition and said the government would support such ventures undertaken by men in uniform.
