"We welcome the decision of the Punjab government of banning the screening of the movie, and we now urge Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra to impose a similar ban in this state as well," said Jasdeep Singh, President, Guru Manyo Granth Society, an amalgam of various Sikh youth organisations of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that the Sikh organisations wanted to hand over a memorandum to the governor seeking his intervention to ban the screening of the controversial movie in Jammu and Kashmir, "but we were told that governor was in Srinagar to review the flood relief work there."
