SP candidate of Ranchi missing

Ali Raza Zaidi, Samajwadi Party candidate of Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency was reported missing since Friday night.

Ali Raza Zaidi, Samajwadi Party candidate of Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency, where polling will be held on Monday, was reported missing, police said on Sunday.

Zaidi left his home in the town at around 10.30 pm on Friday night and has not returned since, according to the missing report filed by his family members with police.

As soon as the report was filed a hunt has been launched to trace the candidate, the police said.

Altogether, 19 candidates are in the fray for the prestigious Ranchi seat, where polls would be held along with seven other Lok Sabha seats in the second and last phase on Monday.
