Jail Superintendent V K Singh told PTI that 38-year-old Koli complained of headache and other discomfort last night and was taken to the prison hospital.
Singh said jail doctors detected no serious ailment and the convict was lodged in his high security solitary cell where he was not provided anything that could be used for attempting suicide. He ate a light meal before going to sleep.
Koli broke down in court yesterday when his death sentence was pronounced.
The jail official said Koli wanted to meet his family members including his daughter to apologise for not contacting them for last four years, since the time he was nabbed by CBI in connection with the gruesome serial killings at Nithari.
Singh said Koli is not allowed to meet anybody except his advocates and family members and jail staff monitors his activities.
A special CBI court yesterday awarded death sentence to Koli for rape and murder of 7-year-old Arti.
