Friendship is like a ship, sailing through ups and downs, keeping its balance fit, at times of distress... writes, Abijah Gupta.

Friendship is like a ship,
Sailing through ups and downs, keeping its balance fit,
At times of distress, acting like a healing kit,
And sometimes refreshing as in winter a hot coffee's sip.

Throughout your life, you keep looking for a friend,
Happy and lucky are those, who get before life's end,
A friend with whom your happy times you spend,
He who in critical times, a hand to you will lend.

Friends can be many, but no guarantee that they'll be good
In this friendship, things don't go, as they should,
Bad association gives the character lots of wounds,
A friend should be as valuable as Sandalwood.

More than jewels is a good friend's company,
Good companionship can't be bought by money,
So pray to lord and ask for a good friend,
If wished by true heart, God will send.
