Surfer's poem: Morality

In the jarring noise of city life, you cannot hear the helpless souls, you cannot hear their helpless cries, writes Srishti Punjani.

In the jarring noise of city life
You cannot hear the helpless souls
You cannot hear their helpless cries
You cannot hear the raging skies
You cannot hear the wrathful earth
You cannot feel the death and dearth

What you can feel is
The lust, the sorrow, the greed
The diminishing aspect of human need
Your want, your crave, and your desire
And the burning of the intoxicated fire
Wake up! Wake up! You heartless creature
Do something for this helpless nature
