Averting any direct comment on the suspension of senior BJP leader Madan Lal Khurana, former Delhi chief minister Sushma Swaraj -- who was on Monday elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh along with four others -- only said that an indiscipline notice was served on him.

The statement came in response to media queries at a function organised at the state party office in Bhopal. Among those present were other elected BJP MPs including former union minister Vikram Verma, Anusiya Uike and Narayan Singh Kesri.

The fifth candidate was union HRD Minister Arjun Singh.

"It's upto Mr Khurana to reply to the notice," Ms Swaraj said while commenting on expelled BJP leader Uma Bharti's 'Janadesh Rally' scheduled for Tuesday.

Earlier, addressing party functionaries. Ms Swaraj, who is visiting Karnataka's Bellary for the Mahalakshmi Puja, said she would henceforth celebrate every Rangpanchami in Bhopal.
