Budhha (14) was on Thursday attacked by a tigress in Katarniyaghat Wildlife Sanctuary when he went there to collect wood with two others, Divisional Forest Officer RK Singh said.

"The tigress later ran into the jungle when people raised an alarm," Singh added.

"This is the fifth incident of human death this year in a tiger or leopard attack, whereas over six persons have been injured in man-animal conflict," the DFO said.
