Traffic restrictions during Simhastha

PARKING OF heavy vehicles on the Ring Road and use of the AB Road by private passenger buses would strictly be banned from tomorrow to avoid extra pressure on these roads during the Simhastha. DSP Traffic R S Ranawat said in a statement that private passenger buses coming from Gujarat, Jhabua-Dhar, Maharashtra, Khandwa-Khargone and Nemawar Road would not be permitted entry in the City through A B Road. They would have to come and go through Ring Road. Similarly, buses carrying passengers from these areas to Ujjain for Simhasta would also have to go via Ring Road.

Tourist buses plying from Navlakha Complex via A B Road to Bhopal, Gwalior and Agra would have to go and come via Ring Road from tomorrow as per new instructions. Ranawat said they had written to Indore Transport Union and Navlakha Passenger Bus Owners to help the traffic department in control of traffic on these roads during Simhasta. Ranawat said Indore Transport Union has been asked to ban parking of heavy vehicles on Ring Road from tomorrow to avoid pressure on roads. The vehicles should be parked on service roads.Ranawat said the traffic department crane vehicles would be on patrol duty 24 hours on Ring Road between Rajiv Gandhi statue to Malviya Petrol Pump.
