The large Hindu population of Trinidad & Tobago is all set to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti in grand style.

During the three-day celebrations starting March 31, lectures, cultural programmes and prayers will be held at Hindu temples across the country, the Trinidad Express newspaper reported.

Several Hindu leaders from Barbados, Guyana and Suriname will be present at the three-day programme at the Dattatreya Yoga Centre, Trinidad.

Around 22 per cent of the population of the country follows Hinduism and Hindi is spoken widely in the region.
