The children and their mother were on their way from Lingampally to Muddaram to attend a marriage. They were walking through the forest when the children collapsed due to severe heat and thirst.
The woman ran around searching for water but she too collapsed.
A shepherd, who found the bodies, alerted the police. The woman was shifted to a hospital. She is said to be in a critical condition.
Telangana is facing its second successive year of drought. This time, the heat claimed 150 lives. Adilabad district recorded the highest temperatures, between 42 and 45 degrees Celsius.
