UP College students? union poll results out
MANISH KUMAR Singh alias ?Laddu? was declared elected as the president whereas Sushil Kumar Singh alias Rajan was declared elected as vice-president of Students? Union of Udai Pratap Autonomous Degree College. The results were declared by chief election officer Ram Naval Singh here this afternoon. He said that Anuj Kumar Singh was elected as general secretary whereas Ajit Kumar Singh won the post of library secretary.
MANISH KUMAR Singh alias ‘Laddu’ was declared elected as the president whereas Sushil Kumar Singh alias Rajan was declared elected as vice-president of Students’ Union of Udai Pratap Autonomous Degree College.
The results were declared by chief election officer Ram Naval Singh here this afternoon. He said that Anuj Kumar Singh was elected as general secretary whereas Ajit Kumar Singh won the post of library secretary.
He said that out of total 4,442 students, only 1,921 students exercised their franchise today. The polling started at 10 am and continued till 12.30 pm.
The students’ union election of UP College went off peacefully amid tight security here in Varanasi on Thursday.
There were seven candidates contesting for the post of president whereas nine candidates were in the fray for vice-president.
Eight candidates were contesting for the post of general secretary whereas 5 candidates were in the fray for library secretary.
Alok Kumar Singh, Jitendra Pandey and Vikrant Singh were elected as faculty representatives of Science Faculty whereas Manish Kumar Singh and Vivek Singh were elected as the representatives of Agriculture Faculty.
Amit Vatsa and Samved were elected as the representatives of Commerce Faculty whereas Amit Kumar Rai was elected as the representative of Arts Faculty. Ravikant Singh was elected as the representative of Education Faculty.
As many as 42 nomination papers had filed nomination papers for the posts of president, vice-president, general secretary, library secretary and faculty representatives for students’ union election of UP College here on September 18.
The withdrawal of nomination papers was held on September 20.
