Vilasrao to visit tsunami-hit areas of Pondicherry
The Maharashtra CM visit by road some of the affected villages for an assessment of the housing requirements.

Maharashtra Chief Minister, Vilasrao Deshmukh, is visiting the tsunami-hit Karaikal region on Saturday.
He will arrive at Karaikal from Chennai by flight and visit by road some of the affected villages for an assessment of the housing requirements and also boats and other materials needed by fisherfolk.
An official source said on Friday that Chief Minister N Rangasamy, his cabinet colleagues and officers would brief the Maharashtra Chief Minister at Karaikal.
He would fly to Pondicherry and would have discussions with the Lieutenant Governor and officials and the chief minister on the havoc cause by the waves in Pondicherry before leaving for Chennai.
