Warrant issued against director JP Dutta

A bailable warrant has been issued against the producer-director for dishonouring the Tri-colour in LoC Kargil.

A local court on Monday issued a bailable arrest warrant against Bollywood producer-director JP Dutta for dishonouring the Tri-colour in his movie LoC Kargil -- a film on the Indian Army's Operation Vijay in 1999.

While hearing a complaint lodged by Tiranga Abhiyan Convenor Ravi Atrolia in 2004, Judicial Magistrate Narendra Kumar Jain fixed May 24 as the next date of hearing.

The prosecution was represented by Advocate Shailendra Dwivedi while Vivek Sharan was defence counsel.

Atrolia alleged that the Tri-colour was draped wrongly over the bodies of martyred officers and jawans in the movie.
