Even a big release like Prajapathi starring Mammootty could only get an average opening. But that in no way stops it from topping this list:

1. Prajapathi: Ranjith directs Mammootty in his usual flamboyant style. Mammootty's towering presence makes it worth a watch.

2. Vadakkumnathan: Music by late Raveendran and Mohanlal's acting help this film sustain itself in theatres.

3. Rasathantram: Lack of any serious competition has helped Mohanlal's Vishu release keep a place in the list. The film is past its prime at the box-office.

4. Balram Vs Tharadas: The same can be said for this film with Mammootty in a double role.
