Anurag Kashyap’s next venture Bombay Velvet is making headlines for quite some time. Not only is the usage of Bombay instead of Mumbai grabbing eye balls, the controversy revolving its lead protagonist- Aamir Khan or Shahrukh Khan has started doing rounds now.

Putting an end to all the controversy, director Anurag Kashyap has finally revealed that he plans to cast Aamir Khan as the lead in his upcoming flick, Bombay Velvet. He also said that Shah Rukh Khan was never in the fray.

“The makers were sure that only Aamir Khan has the intensity and the depth to enact the character. I’ve yet to give him a narration,” Kashyap told filmicafe.com.

What if Aamir rejects the script? “We have not thought about it but we will try and convince him. But I think he will like the project as it is tailor made for him.”

The movie is being directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Danny Boyle with Studio 18.
