As a custom, girls dance while treading grapes with bare feet during a wine festival in the village of Areni, some 100 km of the capital Yerevan.



The winemaking in Armenia is almost as old as the country itself. According to Greek historians, high quality wines were exported from Armenia about two thousand years ago.
