Both the accused are residents of the victim's village. As per details, the victim, a resident of Kuttabad village went to pick cotton from the fields of the said village. The perpetrators overpowered the victim and committed the crime. Then they fled from the spot.
After reaching home, victim narrated the incident to her family members, who informed the police. The victim was taken to civil hospital for medical examination. No arrest was made till filing of this report.
Notably, it is the second case in one week in Haryana, when a women's modesty has been outraged. On 8 November, police had arrested a man, who claimed himself to be the close relative of a Sirsa member of parliament, for allegedly molesting a nurse at Kirti Nagar in Sirsa.
The accused was identified as Bhupinder Singh alias Happy. The accused accosted the victim when she was returning after work and attempted to outrage her modesty in a drunken state.
Sources said that efforts were made to settle the issue amicably but due to the intervention of Sirsa SP Rajshree Singh a case was registered under 354 against the accused.
