Woman killed, eights injured in Gangtok road mishap
An unidentified woman was killed and eight other persons injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling plunged into a gorge near Baghey Khola locality under Singtam police circle area, police said today.

An unidentified woman was killed and eight other persons injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling plunged into a gorge near Baghey Khola locality under Singtam police circle area, police said today.
The mishap took place late last evening when the ill-fated vehicle carrying eight passengers on way to the state capital here from Siliguri as the driver lost control and the vehicle fell down about 300 feet down from the road, police said.
A woman, whose identity was yet to be ascertained, was killed on the spot, while eight other persons, including driver, sustained injuries, they said.
The injured were admitted to the government hospital for treatment, police added.
