The victim, Sheila Rawat, 20, who was admitted to the Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital with 80% burn injuries, is in a critical condition.

According to the first information report (FIR) filed by Rawat's sister, Leela Bhanwar, 23, the two sisters were alone at their home in Kishangarh town on Wednesday night when the four men barged in.

The accused - Rawat's boyfriend Arjun Sharma, and his friends Lokesh Pradhan, Saurabh Rathore and Raghuraj Singh - allegedly poured kerosene on her and set her on fire.

Sharma allegedly told Rawat that if she did not get married to him, he would not let her get married to anyone else. Rawat was engaged to a man from Chittor and was to get married two months later.

The police have registered cases against all the accused, who are in the age group of 20-25 years.

"We have arrested Rathore while the others are absconding," Ajmer superintendent of police Vipin Pandey said.

The police have launched a hunt to nab the accused, he added.
