Here's a surprise for all you couch potatoes. Yasir Khan, a fitness trainer and model from Bhopal, will soon be seen in popular reality show Splitsvilla 7.
Come Saturday and you will see a new twist in the reality show on MTV with the wild card entry of two new people, one of which one is Yasir.
Yasir, who is also a celebrity fitness trainer and the owner of a gym in Dubai says, "I am happy to participate in the show and feel that my entry will add an interesting twist."
After being selected through an online voting system, Yasir, who has a huge fan following because of his success as a fitness trainer and model shares, "Initially, I wasn't too keen to take part in it. However, I thought this could to be a good platform for me to achieve my goals and ambitions in the field of body building."
Narrating his experience, he said, "Everybody used to tell me that the show is scripted. However, when I entered the competition, I realised that this is not the case. It was so much fun working with the creative team and of course sharing screen space with Nikhil Chinappa and Sunny Leone."
Yasir's focus is on pursuing fitness modelling and representing the country in world championships. He has also been on the cover of a popular men's magazine. "People usually strive for a career in acting. I do not want this even after participating in a brilliant show like Splitsvilla 7. I want to take part in championships and fitness modelling and bring laurels to my country," he said.
Yasir also plans to release a fitness DVD by the end of 2014. "My DVD will be for people who wish to embark on a journey like mine. One which is self-made and full of struggles."
Talking about facilities available in MP for a person wishing to pursue fitness modelling, Yasir said, "There isn't much here. The government should try and support people who wish to take up activities like fitness modelling. I was lucky to have achieved success but a lot of talent goes wasted because of lack of funds and guidance."
