MP: Tension in Dhar after alleged stone pelting

Minor tension prevailed in Dhar on Rang Panchami after stones were pelted on Radhakrishna Samarsata Faagyatra in Pattha Chaupati area on Tuesday. The police immediately swung into action and took the situation under control.

Minor tension prevailed in Dhar on Rang Panchami after stones were pelted on Radhakrishna Samarsata Faagyatra in Pattha Chaupati area on Tuesday. The police immediately swung into action and took the situation under control.

Later, heavy police force was deployed in the city to prevent any untoward incident.

The police have registered cases against four people and they informed that investigation in the matter has been initiated.

As per the complaint lodged by Gopal Sharma, the organiser of Faagyatra, some people pelted stones on the Yatra when it reached near a Urdu school. Sharma further alleged that some people were injured in the incident.

Later, the members of the Muslim community gheroed the police station demanding proper investigation into the matter.

Senior police official reached the spot and pacified both the communities.
