Dinesh, who holds a master's degree in commerce and his brother Dilip, who has studied till Class 5, are nowadays busy at their Jawahar Nagar shop as their venture has caught the fancy of locals.

"The shoe laundry takes care of all your shoe's needs," said Dilip, who started the venture in October 2013 along with his brother with an investment of Rs 5 lakh.

"The need for such a service came to my mind when I visited Mumbai in 2013 and saw shoe laundries doing great business there. As Indore is on its way to become a metro city, we thought the concept will work here too," Dilip said.

He added that earlier shoe polish was the only form of service available to enhance the superficial, exterior appearance of the shoes and there was nothing much for the cleaning of the shoes from the inside.

However, 'New Shoe & Shine' uses special techniques for washing and repairing all kinds of shoes.

Dilip claimed their unique selling property (USP) is delivering quick and perfect service.

The duo even receives orders on a phone call or a message. It collect footwear from homes, clean and repair them.
