The aspirants had challenged the examination in a writ petition under the article 226 and had appealed to cancel the examination and called for everything afresh.

"The court's decision will only apply to the petitioners and not to all the aspirants who had appeared for the examination," said advocate Akash Sharma, the counsel for the petitioners.

The MPPSC2013 was mired in controversy ever since the 16 wrong questions in the preliminary question paper cropped up. And since then there have been several twists and turns to the evaluation of the answer sheets.

At first the commission decided to award 32 marks for the wrong questions.

Later, when the students protested they decided to scrap the 16 questions and evaluate only 184 questions.

Advocate Sharma questioned the series of decisions taken by the commission and said,"When the examination notification clearly spells out that the evaluation will be done out of 200 questions, how the commission can discard 16 questions and declare the results."

Sharma alleged that the commission had setup a committee, comprising members of the commission and no expert from outside.

"The MPPSC is recommending superfluous solutions to validate the examination," he added.
