With a little over four months to go for elections in Rajasthan, BJP chief Amit Shah’s visit to Jaipur on July 21 has assumed a lot of significance.

Shah will address the BJP state working committee meetings at Totuka Bhawan on July 21. Sources said Shah will take three organizational meetings and will also address the party’s social media team. Shah will also review the state party’s work and hold discussions on the party’s strategy for the coming assembly elections besides holding a meeting of the state executive at the BJP state headquarters.

He will also attend the wedding function of union minister Narendra Tomar’s son.

Shah will also hold a meeting with the legislators, MPs and state ministers. Shah is also likely to address the heads of various morchas of the BJP.

“Amit Shah’s visit is expected to boost the morale of BJP cadres,” a BJP leader said.

Shah had visited Jaipur last year in July and had met the party office bearers, public representatives and religious heads. During his visit, the BJP national president had asked the state unit to strengthen the party at the booth level.

However, six months after his visit the party had suffered a humiliating defeat in the two Lok Sabha by-elections and one Assembly by-election

Shah will reach Jaipur from New Delhi on July 21 at 10 am. He will address the concluding session of the state working committee that will kick off in Jaipur on July 20. It will be the first working committee meeting after the appointment of state BJP chief Madanlal Saini.

The working committee meeting will include BJP MLAs, MPs, ministers, district presidents, and members of other organisations including BJYUM, Mahila Morcha, ST Morcha, SC Morcha and the special invitees.

After the meeting of the working committee, Shah will address the social media volunteers workshop at Raj Mandir cinema hall.

The state BJP has formed different committees to make arrangements for Shah’s visit. Shah will be greeted at different points between the airport and the venue of the working committee meeting. Sources said that Shah was scheduled to visit Jaipur in June but the visit was postponed due to delay in appointment of state BJP president.
