Three ABVP activists crushed to death by lorry while putting up posters in Rajasthan

Six ABVP workers, including the deceased — Vikas Gaur, Ramesh Dhakad and Rahul Tank — were putting up posters related to students’ union polls in Chittorgarh district’s Nimbahera area when the mishap occurred.

Three persons died and as many were injured after a speeding truck hit them in Chittorgarh district’s Nimbahera area in Rajasthan, police said on Saturday.

The incident occurred on Friday night when Vikas Gaur, Ramesh Dhakad and Rahul Tank, members of RSS-affiliated students’ wing ABVP, were putting up posters related to students’ union polls on the roadside, they said.

The speeding vehicle crushed the trio killing them instantly while three of their friends were seriously injured of which two were being treated at Udaipur district hospital and one was admitted to Chittorgarh hospital, police said.

Police have seized the truck and arrested its driver.
