Zendaya wears ‘something blue’ bringing ‘The Drama’ in a couture ballgown for New York premiere of her film

Zendaya gave a glorious finishing touch to the ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue' theme she followed for The Drama.

First came something old, then something new, followed by something borrowed, and now, something blue has completed the wedding-themed bridal looks Zendaya and Law Roach, her stylist and image architect, chose for The Drama promotions.

On Friday, Zendaya attended the New York premiere of The Drama in New York City with her co-star Robert Pattinson. While Zendaya looked stunning in a Schiaparelli couture gown in lapis lazuli blue and black, Robert complemented her in a dapper black tailored suit. Let's decode her ensemble.

Zendaya's ‘something blue’ is a couture look

Zendaya fittingly brought the drama to the New York premiere of The Drama in a strapless Schiaparelli ballgown. The look is from the Schiaparelli spring 2026 couture line. The ensemble finishes off a series of incredible looks that Zendaya wore to bring the bridal tradition of ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue’ to her wedding-themed dressing for The Drama.

The Schiaparelli gown features a drop-waist tiered skirt, a sculptural bodice, and a strapless neckline. While the corseted top hugs her like a second skin, the voluminous tiered skirt forms a train on the back. Meanwhile, covered in black and electric blue ombré silk feathers, the ensemble brings a good dose of drama to the red carpet.

The styling

Zendaya's accessories included lapis lazuli, diamond, and white gold jewels from Tiffany & Co, including cocktail rings and a pair of starry drop earrings. She paired the gown with bird-inspired pumps, complete with feathered faces and beaks at the pointed toe.

As for the glam, she chose metallic blue eye shadow, a silver stroke on the lower waterline, mascara-coated lashes, darkened brows, rouge-tinted cheeks, beaming highlighter, glossy caramel brown lip shade, and soft contouring. Meanwhile, she gave the look a finishing touch with a slicked-back, wet hairdo and a single loose strand, adding some depth.

Something old, something new, something borrowed…

Earlier, for the ‘something old’ theme, Zendaya wore her iconic Vivienne Westwood gown, which she wore to the Oscars in 2015. It features an off-the-shoulder neckline, a corset bodice, a sweeping skirt, and a bow at the back. A flapper-style pixie and some incredibly impressive marital jewellery rounded off the look.

Meanwhile, for her ‘something new’ look, she chose a custom Louis Vuitton dress in white and black, a nod to the classic Victorian-era wedding dress. Lastly, for ‘something borrowed’, she picked a dress from Cate Blanchett’s closet, an Armani Prive dress with Louis Vuitton high jewels.
