The Buldhana Lok Sabha constituency, one of the 48 of Maharashtra, largely represents Buldhana district except Malkapur (Assembly constituency), which is part of Raver Lok Sabha constituency.

The seat is being held by the Shiv Sena for the past four terms. Prataprao Jadhav has represented the seat for the past two terms. Last time he defeated his nearest rival, Ingle Krushanarao Ganpatrao of the NCP by less than one lakh votes

The constituency witnessed a high turnout of 76% in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections at its 1718 polling booths

The general elections will be held across India in seven phases beginning April 11 and the counting of votes will take place on May 23.
