Lok Sabha Elections 2019: The way he used to abuse Modi and Amit Shah, I want to know what are their opinions on it, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala hit back within minutes of Vadakkan joining the BJP.

The Congress hit back at its senior leader Tom Vadakkan, who while joining the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday accused the opposition party of questioning the integrity of armed forces.

“Anybody who leaves a party to join another other party has to make certain comments. The way he used to abuse Modi and Amit Shah, I want to know what are their opinions on it,” Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala hit back within minutes of Vadakkan joining the BJP.

While announcing his decision to join the BJP, Vadakkan said: “If some political party takes a position against the country, then I do not have an option but to leave that party… This is not right.”

He was referring to the Congress’s stance on the Balakot air strike against terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed camp in Pakistan that followed the Pulwama suicide bombing.
