Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Priyanka Gandhi leaves everybody guessing on her possibilities of contesting from Varanasi
The Congress is yet to declare a candidate from Varanasi where Modi is likely to file his nomination papers on April 26. Congress president Rahul Gandhi too has kept the suspense alive and many party leaders have indicated that a decision on the issue will come in next few days.
Winding up her two-day campaign in family bastions of Rae Bareli and Amethi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday left everybody guessing about possibilities of her contesting 2019 Lok Sabha election from Varanasi.
“The Congress is yet to decide. You will come to know when the party takes a decision. I have said time and again, I will do whatever the party tells me to do,” said Priyanka while replying to a question about possibilities of her challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Priyanka along with UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi had reached Rae Bareli on Monday and held roadside public meetings in both Rae Bareli and Amethi Lok Sabha constituencies.
On Tuesday, besides visiting district hospital to meet three Congress workers who met with an accident while coming for a party meeting at Rae Bareli on late Monday evening, Priyanka also met family of a former MLA in Indira Nagar area of Rae Bareli.
She also went to meet small shopkeepers in Deeh market of Amethi to know about their problems.
Sonia Gandhi, who on Monday had said her partymen would fight her election, continued to meet workers and local people on Tuesday. She also met a number of delegations and members of associations at the Bhuemau guest house in Rae Bareli.
