Instead, Mayawati has organised statewide demonstrations by her partymen to mark their protest over "faulty policies, failures and unabated price rise during the UPA regime".

According to a source close to the chief minister, Mayawati has already turned down the invitation for dinner being hosted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Mayawati has detailed each of her ministers to lead the demonstrations in different districts, the source said.

In the state capital, the protest rally would be led by Mayawati's close confidante and multi-portfolio minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui, just outside the district collectorate.
