Special Judge (anti-corruption) Rekha Dixit deferred the hearing of the matter after the counsel for one of the accused, R K Sharma, former secretary, environment, moved an application seeking an adjournment.

Sharma has filed an intervention application in the matter.

Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar had earlier refused to accord sanction for prosecution of state Chief Minister Mayawati and her cabinet colleague Naseemuddin Siddique in the case.
