Kapil Dev gets cast in wax at Delhi’s Madame Tussauds
Cricketer Kapil Dev is overwhelmed to see his wax statue at Delhi’s upcoming Madame Tussauds.
Amidst buzzing crowd and electrifying music, when the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev unveiled his first-ever wax statue and stood beside it, it was a treat for his fans.
At a recent event in Delhi, the 58-year-old sportsperson’s wax figure is the latest addition at the Madame Tussauds Delhi location, which has quite a few sports icons. His fans at the museum can also test their cricket skills at a specially dedicated area.
Known as an all-rounder, Kapil made his mark in the history of Indian cricket by leading the national team to the historic Cricket World Cup triumph in 1983. A voice clip of the commentary of the ’83 World Cup was played at the venue before the unveiling of the wax statue.
The museum also tweeted about the event:

When asked about his reaction, on seeing his statue, he said: I don’t like to talk about myself.
In an earlier interaction with media, the cricketer had expressed his gratitude to his fans who were there with him as he “lived and breathed cricket” all his life.
