Actors Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sina, Huma Qureshi, Shilpa Shetty and many more are looking at the world upside down by doing headstands. Not easy to master, the headstand requires a lot of core strengthening. And, after rigorous training sessions, these celebs seem to have mastered it. Be it a part of their pilates regime or aerial yoga, these actors are taking fitness to a whole new level. A little head’s up though: Do not try this without expert supervision.
The actor, who trains with martial artist and celebrity trainer Rakesh Yadav to master the headstand, has been attempting this act and posting her progress on her Instagram account. Looks like she has become a pro now.
Sonakshi has put her heart and soul into her exercise regime. After practicing for a month, she was able to perfect the headstand without any support.
Aaaaand she gets it right!!! Exactly a month ago i posted a video of me doing a very improper headstand, but the fact that i was able to even get into that position without any support was a huge achievement for me. A month after, with practice and determination, i post a proper one with my legs aligned and perpendicular to the floor. Progress makes me happy! #mondaymotivation #smallvictories #sonaisfit #fitness #yoga
Huma, who is back in a fitter avatar, loves aerial yoga. She trains with aerial yoga specialist, Anshuka Parwani, and hangs suspended through aerial silk as a part of her routine.
The original diva, Malaika Arora, stays fit with pilates and keeps updating her Instagram feed with training videos and photos. No wonder she was able to pull off this headstand with ease.
Shilpa, who swears by yoga, takes the headstand one step further. While in the position, she also does a few leg moves. She has a word of caution: Don’t try this exercise all of a sudden as it takes months of preparation.
"WILL POWER is like a muscle the more u use it the stronger it gets". Suffered a severe cervical disc injury 15 yrs ago.. Made up my mind to do a headstand..today I did it.. Please don't try it this exercise all of a sudden.. it's taken me a lot of core/postural strengthening to reach here.. #SwasthRahoMastRaho #willpower
