20 per cent water cut in Mumbai for 8 days starting today

Mumbaikars have to gear up for a 20% water-cut starting today.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has imposed a 20% cut on August 22, 23, 26-28, 30, 31 and September 1 across the city.

This is due to the civic body’s plans to commission the first phase of the tunnel work between Gundavli and Kapurbawadi. Localities at the fag-end of the supply chain, higher floors and elevated areas will be affected more owing to low water-pressure.
