Bandra Kurla Complex to Chunabhatti commute to get 3km shorter by July-end

This week, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) completed a crucial phase for the 1.6 km project and launched six girders above the tracks near Sion and Chunabhatti. The work was undertaken in blocks allotted by the Railways between 1am and 3.30am.

RA Rajeev, metropolitan commissioner, MMRDA, said, “The ₹155-crore elevated corridor from BKC to EEH is expected to decongest traffic in the Sion-Dharavi area, reduce the distance by 3kms and cut commute time by 30 minutes.”
